A little about us...

Originally founded in 1996, Dallas original McCort Entertainment, started its life as a local event promotions company. Starting with small local stage productions, owner Brent got his feet wet while aiming for higher goals. One of McCort's first promotions was to work with the famous Granada Theater in Dallas Texas, working to coordinate a 2 show a week live cast performance of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Brent also worked with venues in the Deep Ellum area of Dallas to help match artists with coffee shops or bars.

In 1998, the owner made a move to Phoenix, AZ taking the company headquarters with him. Here in Phoenix, Brent worked with the City in their At Risk Youth Division, setting up a recording and digital media arts program. A studio was established at a teen center in north Phoenix and for 2 years the program was developed and is still running and serving the local neighborhood youth to this day.

Early in the 2000s, McCort made a move to become a full productions company. The founding of Rockwood Audio Engineering in 2000 was the first move in that direction. RAE became the reduction house for all McCort's needs. Mastering for artists, recording of live shows, and track production are just a few of the services first offered by this production duo. Throughout the next Decade, McCort and RAE would collect various pieces of gear and software to improve upon, and add to these services and in 2006, the two companies became the suppliers of the first prize package for a local "Battle of the Bands". 12 hours of recording, mix and master included, free. The competition was to support and encourage young songwriters and the winners deserved their studio time.

At the end of the 2000s, the economy took its toll on the Phoenix valley and McCort made the decision to move back to Dallas. Phoenix was a great opportunity and was close to the powerhouse of L.A., but Owner Brent knew that with the economy, also would go the market in the desert when L.A. is only a 5 hour drive. So the office was moved back to Arlington in the mid cities and the new home has been full of adventure.

McCort, having produced a number of live stream concerts, decided to take this technology and push its limits. In 2010, the first LIVE webcast of the Annual St Patty's Parade on Greenville Ave was planned and executed with beautiful results. Using the newest in wireless mobile internet technology, McCort and crew hosted a live stream of the parade using 3 camera angles and a host of commentators. During this time, McCort was also in the process of producing a web series names "Traveling with Monk" in which they covered events all over the north Texas area, showcasing all the fun little things out there that the "little guy" can afford to go see and do. This series led to a coordinated effort with the staff of QuakeCon to produce a LIVE webcast covering the event from the Network Ops Center. And there have been numerous successful broadcasts since from locations all over Dallas.

With plans to acquire our own video and web server, McCort plans on expanding their programming and coverage of the DFW Metroplex. McCort is also proud to produce Anime Outcast the Podcast, a bi-weekly radio style program that talks about the latest anime news as well as reviews some of the newest in Japan's television line up. McCort Entertainment hopes to continue pioneering internet media and distribution technologies.

We are currently in the planning stages of new livecasts and are always on the lookout for new talented musicians, podcasters, and voice talents.
