| Dallas Guitar Festival 2010 |
The 33rd annual Dallas International Guitar Festival was a sight to see, especially for a guitarist like our commentator Monk. Though not much work actually got done, there was plenty to see and play with making for a great time. Located at Dallas Market Hall, there was plenty of room for all the vendors and exhibits including a new friend of ours, Steve Moya.
There was so much to play with there it made it hard to get any work done. Not to mention all the fantastic pople that we got a chance to meet. From Glitter Rose to Bo and Jim from the 92.5FM morning show, to John Kammerer, maker of some really nice guitars and basses.
Eventually, we got through the day and I got the footae we needed to bring you what fun there was to be had at this event. If you missed it, it comes around every year, same place, around the same time. Don't miss it next year.
One of the primary things we were there to see at the Guitar Fest, was Glitter Rose. First of all we wanted to get an interview with her about her signature guitar. And, we were also getting the opportunity to video her performance on the Peavey stage. This was an oppportunity not to pass up.
Walking into the setup blind we were not able to capture sound off the board. But we did find that our little HiDef Vivitar cameras don't do too bad of a job capturing audio either. The other method we used at the same time didn't work out half as well.
As much of a learning experience it was, we still had a great time and are glad to present that interview and our favorite pick of her songs that day.
